Umbrella Music Video
This is my music video for the song "Umbrella" by Rihanna featuring Jay-Z. I put a lot of effort into making this video and it wasn't easy to make. This video took many days to put together. I feel like the editing was the hardest part for me overall. My editing skills definitely got better with this project. One of the new things I learned was how to add videos as green/blue screens. It came out looking like more of a background video with a picture in front of it. Although it still turned out nice, I was expecting like for it completely get rid of the background in my and replace it with whatever video I chose to use as a green screen. I enjoyed the process to making this video. I definitely got to explore and try new transitions. I learned so much more about how iMovie works and how it works. I am so thankful that while I was filming I was took multiple takes of the same scene. I took multiple takes of each scene so that I wouldn't have to back and dress up and film a scene all over again. For this project, I had to work with 12 scenes this was a little difficult because it was a lot to keep track of. There were many times when I had to go back and reshoot an entire scene because I recorded it in the wrong outfit. But I overall managed to follow my storyboard and planning as closely as possible. I do wish that I would have recorded my last three scenes during the day so that the natural light from my window could have probably helped my video appear brighter. But I also had a feeling that if I were to have recorded it in the morning the video would have probably came out to light. I was definitely limited on resources but I tried hard to use what I had to the best of my ability. My video can use some improvements, but overall I'm proud of the final product.
