My Commercial
This was my first time making a commercial. After rewatching my video, I realized that there are many ways that I could have improved my project. For example, I could have added another short video of the baby sleeping but from the side view of a crib. Another example, if I could have given the mom a line to say after the baby started crying. Also, I could have shortened the clip that showed the screenshot of the diapers. I could have probably included the clip of the crib from a side view in place of the screenshot. I also could have probably been more specific in my other blogs about the specific Pampers I was focusing on. This project definitely taught me a lot of new skills. I learned a lot more about iMovie and how it works. For example, I learned how to add sound to my video if the sound is from YouTube and how to cut it to fit in the video. This project really helped me think outside the box and brought out a lot of my creativity. I learned a lot about conventions and how to plan things out like what props I was going to use, the costumes that would be worn, and the setting. Also helped emphasis the importance of having back up plans or alternatives to your original ideas. This was my first time recording different scenes to combine together to make a whole video. This commercial project taught me the importance of recording multiple clips of the same scene. After doing this project my appreciation for commercials has now increased. I finally understand the effort producers put into making 30 second videos. Overall this process was kind of difficult but altogether very fun to do. I feel like my commercial came out very good. I look forward to filming more and improving my production skills.
