Filming Blog: Grandmother’s House

Image
On Friday, the 30th I began to film and I did not finish filming until Saturday. On Friday I was able to film my pan video, where I record the pampers box from right to left. I finished filming the rest of my commercial on Saturday night. I waited until it was dark outside to film, so that I this would get that natural dim lighting I was looking for. Because before when I tried to film during the day I was not able to find a spot to film where I was able to get a nice dim lighting. So I filmed at night to match up with the time "3 am in Pampers" that would be clearly labeled in our video. While filming I tried to keep each scene around 5 seconds long. I played the role of the mom and my cousin played the role of the baby. For the costumes I was dressed in a burgundy, pink, and white striped cardigan and tank top with some sweats and sandals. While my younger cousin was dressed in a white shirt and in Pampers diapers. For the scene where the baby had to cry I didn't record...

Planning Storyboard for my Pampers Commercial

Image
First Scene- In the first scene I will be filming the crib in the bedroom with the baby crying. Then the mom will come over to the crib to get the baby. This seen will be a visual example of what a mother has to do at 3 am in the morning when her baby is wearing ordinary diapers. Second Scene- This next scene will be a visual representation of babies when babies are sleeping in Pampers diapers at 3 am. I will film the baby sleeping peacefully in there crib wearing Pampers. This will be filmed at a high angle. With a lullaby playing in the background. Third Scene-period  The third scene I will show the box of Pamper diapers and describe the advantage of Pampers diapers over leading value brand diapers. I will pan from right to left to show the the box of Pampers.  Fourth Scene-  In this scene, I will include a visual demonstration of how much drier pampers are compared to ordinary diapers. I will also insert a voice over describing how Pampers stay up to three times...

Planning for my Pampers Commercial

Image
Props: I chose to create a Pampers commercial thus my main prop is going to be a Pampers diaper. The props I will use in the commercials are a crib, pampers, and a toy (maybe a stuffed animal). Costumes:  The baby will be wearing a shirt and pampers diaper. The person playing the mom role will be dressed in a cardigan and probably slippers to give her a mother-like look. The mom will also wear her hair in either a ponytail or bun. Schedule: I will research conventions of Pampers commercials by 10/23/20. I will establish the props, costumes, schedule, set, location, and backup plan by 10/23/20. I will create a storyboard (6 boxes) for my commercial by 10/27/20. I will explain what I did during the filming process and what I encountered by 10/29/20. I will explain what I did during the editing process by 10/30/20.  Set:  On set there will be a crib, and a dresser in the background. The lights will be dim to make it look like it is taking place at night. If I do not d...

Research blog: Commercial Conventions

Image
I am doing a Pampers diaper commercial. Pampers is an American brand of baby and toddler products marketed Procter & Gamble. The audience for my commercial are parents or guardians with young toddlers and babies. Pamper diapers are essential for babies. Conventions in Pamper commercials include a comparison between leading value brand diapers and Pamper diapers, a baby or toddler in Pampers diapers, and the slogan “love sleep & play”. The comparison between leading value brand diapers and Pamper diapers is a visual demonstration included in the commercial, that helps emphasize how much more pampers absorb and how much drier Pampers are than the leading value brand. This comparison helps encourage parents to choose Pampers for their babies. A baby wearing Pampers is always included in the commercial whether the baby is sleeping, playing, or running. The baby wearing Pampers is how the company promotes their product. The slogan “love sleep & play” is also included in the comm...
