Planning for my Pampers Commercial

 Props:

I chose to create a Pampers commercial thus my main prop is going to be a Pampers diaper. The props I will use in the commercials are a crib, pampers, and a toy (maybe a stuffed animal).


Costumes: 

The baby will be wearing a shirt and pampers diaper. The person playing the mom role will be dressed in a cardigan and probably slippers to give her a mother-like look. The mom will also wear her hair in either a ponytail or bun.


Schedule:

I will research conventions of Pampers commercials by 10/23/20.

I will establish the props, costumes, schedule, set, location, and backup plan by 10/23/20.

I will create a storyboard (6 boxes) for my commercial by 10/27/20.

I will explain what I did during the filming process and what I encountered by 10/29/20.

I will explain what I did during the editing process by 10/30/20. 


Set: 

On set there will be a crib, and a dresser in the background. The lights will be dim to make it look like it is taking place at night. If I do not dim the lights or if dining the lights just does not work then I will just record my commercial at night instead.


Location:

My main location is my cousin’s bedroom because she has a crib and a baby. Her baby is only 10 months old and I plan on using him in my video. In her room I will film the baby sleeping in his crib before he begins to cry. Then I will record the mom going to pick up the baby and record the baby fast asleep after getting their diaper changed. 

My second location is at another one of my cousin’s houses just in case if my other cousin does not have a crib. I would film in his bedroom and record the baby while they are sleeping. Then I will repeat the same filming process I would have used in the first location.


Back Up Plan:

If I am not able to find a crib then I will use a bed instead. Since the baby I’m working with is 10 months old who might not cooperate, I’ll work with my one and a half year old cousin instead and hopefully she’ll cooperate. But if my Pamper commercial just does not work out then my backup plan would be to make a Bounty paper towel commercial.

Production Blog-Music and Problems

I was supposed to record scenes 5 and 6 this weekend but due to the weather I was unable to.  It was raining all day on Saturday, so I did not record the scene that day because the roads were slippery and I was prioritizing my safety. Then on Sunday, my parents weren't available to film from the passenger seat that day. And my permit requires me to be accompanied by a driver who is at least 21 years old in the passenger seat while driving. So I hope that I'll be able to film scenes 5 and 6 some time this week, maybe Thursday or Saturday I'm not quite sure yet. I'm just trying to get these two specific scenes filmed as soon as I possibly can be I do believe that they'll be the most difficult to film. I was also trying to film scene 7 on Friday but I couldn't because I needed to move the couch to in front of the tv. But I couldn't because the living room space was pretty crowded with just large boxes so I decided to hold off on filming that scene until this sp...

This is a powerpoint that covers the conventions we see in drama. In this powerpoint I stated a common lighting in drama, natural film lighting, and I also included an example. I listed a common camera angle in drama with a picture example. I also listed a common movement often seen in drama along with an example. Then I listed the common Mise-En-Scene in drama with examples. I then listed the elements of drama. I included 3 example films of drama. I also included the common sound in drama and an example video. I got my example video from YouTube. Inserting this video into my project was not very easy at first. But eventually I figured out how to insert videos from the internet into a PowerPoint. I listed what elements of drama that I liked. I also listed what elements of drama I did not appeal to me.
